The companion display for this Digital History Project was originally located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in the Home Economics Building on the 2nd floor in 2011. The educational display is an overview of the information found throughout this digital project. The reproduction garments supplement the research findings of this project and also allow a further visual understanding of the styles of dress and sunbonnet written about in mid-nineteenth century trail diaries. The display is available for travel to other educational institutions per request.
The reproduction garments and antique sunbonnet are interspersed with textual didactics, a map published by the Oregon and California Trail Association, a smale scale covered wagon and four framed William Henry Jackson postcards.
